Wilfred & Friends is a small, not-for-profit rescue run entirely by volunteers who pour their hearts into helping animals in need. Our mission is simple: to rescue, rehabilitate, and reunite or release animals, giving every creature the second chance they deserve. We do not receive any government or official funding and, unlike many organisations, we never charge for our services. Every rescue operation, every search for a missing pet, and every act of care we provide is made possible solely through the generosity of our incredible supporters. Your donations are the lifeblood of our rescue, enabling us to respond to calls for help, provide medical care, and support our foster network.

Right now, we are facing a critical need that could transform the way we help lost and vulnerable animals: we are fundraising to purchase a second-hand thermal imaging drone. This technology would be a true game-changer for our team. Currently, our searches for missing pets are limited to daylight hours, meaning that animals lost at night often remain unfound until morning—sometimes with tragic consequences. The addition of a thermal imaging drone would allow us to search 24 hours a day, dramatically increasing the chances of finding and saving animals who are lost, injured, or in distress during the night. It would enable us to cover larger areas more efficiently, spot animals hidden in dense undergrowth or difficult terrain, and respond more quickly to urgent situations.

We understand this is a significant request, and reaching our goal is no small feat. Our target is to raise £4,000 to secure a reliable, second-hand thermal imaging drone.
